Customer Services : Service Hours, Contact Information and Holiday Observances

The Customer Services Department is located in City Hall at 300 South Washington Street and is open every business day from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.  The telephone number is 704.484.6866. The fax number for new accounts and/or billing inquires is 704.484.6879. The fax number for our Payments division is 704.669.6607.

Request for services outside regular service hours can also be made by dialing 704.484.6866. Select option three for outside regular service hours.  Your call will be tranferred to the Shelby Police Department for utility dispatch. If you have a utility emergency, please dial 911. Emergency utility services are available 24 hours daily. The City charges for some services performed outside regular business hours. The charges are in accordance with the Schedule of Fees and Charges.
