The City of Shelby's Solid Waste Division will be having the Fall Bulky Item Pick-up Week, October 5-8, and we would like to remind residents of the items that can be collected, as well as the items we are unable to collect. 

Items such as furniture, mattresses, boxes, bagged clothes, toys, bicycles without the tires, and grills without the propane tanks can be picked up. Items such as tires, electronics, appliances, paint, oils, batteries, gas and propane tanks, stumps, and construction materials cannot be picked up. 

Also, please remember that your bulky items will only be picked up on the same day your solid waste is collected. Place bulky items to be collected on your curb this weekend. Items placed or left on the curb after October 8 will be subject to fines and citations.
