It was a beautiful day for the Grand Reopening Ceremony at the Shelby Dog Park! 

About 30 people gathered for the event including elected officials, City of Shelby staff, business owners, and members of the public. Some of our canine friends from the community joined us for the celebration as well, including Max, Mila, Jack, and Blue. They seemed very excited to see the recent additions that have been installed at the park and hurried in after the banner cutting to get a firsthand look at the new agility equipment. 

We would like to thank all the individuals, families, businesses, sponsors, and volunteers for their dedication and tireless work to provide the funding for the agility equipment at the Shelby Dog Park. We would also like to thank the City’s Parks and Recreation Department’s maintenance staff for installing the new equipment. 

May dogs of all ages and sizes enjoy the Shelby Dog Park for many years to come!
