The City of Shelby Stormwater Division is providing support to several local volunteer groups conducting clean-up events on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22. 

The Broad River Alliance will be hosting a First Broad River Clean-up event.  The event will start at 10:00 am at Double Shoals Mill.  Bring water, lunch, gloves, and appropriate clothing to be in the water.  If you would like to reserve a boat, contact David Caldwell at broadriveralliance@gmail.com.  

Women Outdoors will be hosting a litter sweep along the Carolina Thread Trail.  The event will start at 10:00 am at the Twin Trestle Trail Head.  Please bring water and gloves to the event.
