The City of Shelby has announced that Dusty Hill has been selected as the Employee of the 2nd Quarter, 2024. 

Dusty began his career as a firefighter with the Shelby Fire and Rescue Department in October 2015 and was promoted to Engineer in November of 2022. 

Dusty has been an exemplary leader and assists in the department’s public education programs in our community. He has taken all available classes required for his job position and the next position up of Captain as well. He recently recertified his state EMT-Basic certification and has done a great job helping train new employees at the department. 

We would like to congratulate Dusty and thank him for his dedicated service to the Shelby Fire and Rescue Department and the citizens of our community.
