The Fire & Rescue Department offers a variety of fire & life safety community education programs. Working with the Cleveland County Scools the department delivers age specific curriculum content through the National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) Risk Watch program to students in the school system. The department offers industry specific safety training programs for businesses. The department reaches out to the community at large at various festivals, neighborhood meetings, and recreation events during the year to promote fire & life safety awareness. Key staff members are certified as Life Safety Educators.
