On behalf of the dedicated men and women of the Shelby Police Department, welcome to our official website.  We hope as you visit our website you will learn more about our mission and core values, the services we offer our community, and resources that are available to you.  As Chief of Police, I am honored to work alongside our 108 men and women who serve as law enforcement officers, e911 Telecommunicators, and administrative staff who provide police services to the residents and guests of our community.

The Shelby Police Department is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.  Our agency was law enforcement accredited in 2001, and in 2014 we became the first municipal law enforcement agency in North Carolina to attain public safety communications accreditation from the commission.  We are committed to serving our community with excellence as we Protect with Courage and Serve with Compassion.  As you learn more about our agency you will find that our team of staff are a well-trained, dedicated, and enthusiastic group of professionals who take pride in their work.  I encourage you to follow us on our social media sites and join us as we work to make your home, workplace, and our community an even better place to live.
