PURPOSE
The mission of the Shelby ABC Board and its employees is to serve our localities responsibly by controlling the sale of spirituous liquor and promoting customer-friendly and efficient stores. See the establishing NC General Statute by clicking here.

MEETINGS
4th Monday of every month at 9 am.
ABC Store, 824 West Warren Street, Shelby, NC

DUTIES
- Follow all NC ABC Commission and NC State Laws.
- Manage the ABC stores in a manner that maximizes revenues, which are then distributed to local government bodies, local law enforcement, & alcohol education programs.
- Review profits & expenses monthly.
- Discuss and approve major purchases.
- Discuss and approve profits paid to local governments, pay rates for employees, store hours, holidays, and operational expenses related to ABC stores.

This Board was appointed by action taken by the City Council at a Special Meeting held on March 29, 1975.   General Assembly of NC House Bill 1841 increased members on the Shelby ABC Board from three to five members beginning July 1, 2006.
