The North Carolina Association of Rescue and EMS (NCAREMS) provides advocacy, training, and technical services for rescue and EMS providers in North Carolina.  The NCAREMS administers the North Carolina Rescue Standards which defines and outlines provider qualifications for general and specialized rescue, and emergency medical services.   On August 13, 2018 representatives from NCAREMS conducted a provider inspection and credentialed the Fire & Rescue Department as a heavy rescue service provider.
