PURPOSE
The Zoning Board of Adjustments operates as a quasi-judicial board, responsible for ensuring a fair and open process for zoning appeals, variances, and special use permits.

MEETINGS
1st Thursday of the month at 12:15 pm.
Shelby-Cleveland County Airport, upstairs, 830 College Avenue, Shelby NC 

DUTIES
- Hear appeals of decisions made by various Code Enforcement Officers
- Grant variances from the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) as permitted
- Issue special permits as permitted by the UDO
